Married to Lisa (Flipflop), daughter Lara who is married to David and between them they have produced a fine set of twin boys, Jack & Charlie (27-02-09).

History.

I started riding motorcycles at the grand old age of 16. My first bike (that I’ll admit to) was a Suzuki X1, which got upgraded to a 125 in short order. I stuck with that until the birth of my daughter at which time I was unable to afford to run both a car and a bike so unfortunately the bike had to go (try as you like it’s difficult to get a pram on a bike.)

Since reappearing on the motorcycling scene I have tried to get through as many bikes as possible and ended up being the owner of a Yamaha Virago, Kawasaki VN800, Yamaha FJ1200, Kawasaki Z750 and a CCM R30. At present I currently have a Kawasaki VN1600 Nomad and a Suzuki GSF1200Y (Bandit) with pink wheels.

I joined the VRA in 2004 went on one ride-out and then got knocked off my 800 and so went to my first VRA rally on a Honda Hornet. Since joining the VRA I have taken my bike all over Europe attending rallies in Sweden and Belgium. My favourite rides are any ride-out that Nuke organises round the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District. I am also fond of rides round North Wales, although having to spend the entire day looking out for over zealous plod does detract from the experience.

My other interests include horses and photography, although I am better with the horses than the camera.
